Shanghai Day 34 (31st December 2009)

Another normal day at class. We had a better dinner this time around. At a vegetarian restaurant near People’s Square. The food was so good it was worth the price. Comparatively cheaper than those you can have in Malaysia 😉 Pictures of food: IMG_0072 IMG_0073 IMG_0074 IMG_0076 IMG_0078 IMG_0089 IMG_0090 IMG_0092 IMG_0093 IMG_0094 IMG_0095 IMG_0096 IMG_0097 IMG_0098 IMG_0102 IMG_0103 IMG_0105 IMG_0106 After dinner, we separated and I treat them to super good healthy ice cream.  IMG_0112Healthy as in the ice cream was anti-cold, anti-flu, good for stomach, etc. It must taste yucky right?IMG_0113 YOU ARE WRONG! Super yummy OK? And it was RMB25 per scoop. IMG_0115 Quite expensive but enjoyable 😉 We went to shop around in the metro station itself and finally got to Xin Tian Di at about 10pm. IMG_0125 We wanted to join the countdown with famous artists like JJLin, Aaron Kwok, Jolin Tsai etc… But the ticket was RMB200! Would not want to spend money on that =.= Some more, its near to the end of the concert already. So we went to walk around Huai Hai Park and met a Shanghainese. He was… s.t.r.a.n.g.e. He stuck around with us for three hours o.OIMG_0126Ok, maybe I am just so paranoid. He was quite nice bringing us around the place and to find a spot to view fire works. Sorry, no pictures of them because my camera ran out of battery =( It was very beautiful. It was also my first time doing a public new year countdown =)IMG_0129 IMG_0130After that we try to hail a taxi to go home but then more than 30 empty taxis went by refusing to pick us! =.= We walked for a really long time before we could get one and he ONLY picks up FOUR. Which means the stranger shall not be in the same taxi as us =DIMG_0131It was so tiring and we only got back around 1.30am =.= SLEEP

Money spent for Day 34:

Total spent = RMB 220

Had a good countdown =)

The one who is trying to make full use of the time in Shanghai =D
